Digital Accessibility Training

Did you know that there are an estimated 16 million disabled people in the UK? In 2019, the ‘Click-Away Pound’, which measures the number of people who abandon a retail website because of the barriers they find, grew to £17.1 billion (abilitynet.org.uk).

So many aspects of a webpage, online document and even an eLearning course can be inaccessible. To combat this, we created on an Introduction to Digital Accessibility course which covers the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and tips on how to make documents, images, videos and webpages accessible.

  • I used animated videos to break away from long paragraphs of text, and AI generated voiceover with Elevenlabs.

  • I worked with accessibility testers to ensure we were not only WCAG compliant but providing a user-friendly experience for all.

  • Design

We created a step by step process to making accessible digital producsts, through a modular framework. I incorporated animated videos to replace long text blocks and used AI-generated voiceovers from ElevenLabs for a more engaging experience.
